Show Notes

We've got an important interview for you. Darryl Plecas is a former Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for Abbotsford South from 2013 to 2020, and served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 2017 to 2020.

He blew the whistle on bizarre and questionable spending by staff in the B.C. Legislative Assembly, with a series of bombshell reports sparking resignations and ongoing change in Victoria.

Our B.C. Director Kris Sims spoke with him about the reports, and what changes should be made in the B.C. Legislative Assembly for full transparency.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has called for further transparency by making all employees at the legislature subject to freedom of information requests, and requiring all expenditures using taxpayers’ money to be publicly posted online.
