EPISODE ONE: Politician Pay Cuts, Power Grabs, and Gold in a Creek

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation blows the whistle on Canadian politicians who got raises while other world leaders took pay cuts. We explain why the Trudeau government had to back down on its big power grab and then shine a light on another power grab nobody’s talking about. And we caught a government throwing gold in a river at taxpayers’ expense.

In a foolish bid to promote tourism, Yukon’s tourism department gave $139,000 for a tourism association to throw gold in a river as a publicity stunt. It turned out to be an award-winning waste of money.
